Italian journalist and television presenter, she has been on the TG1 staff since the early eighties, she has been one of the main anchorwomen of the news having conducted for a long time the main editions, that of 13:30 and that of 20. Foreign policy correspondent has documented humanitarian and international crises, from Afghanistan, to the Middle East, Iraq, Southeast Asia, Africa between northern Uganda and Darfur, to the United States of America. She was appointed Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2003 by the President of the Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, for her civil commitment as a journalist sent to war areas. She was a guest of the Liberevento Cultural Festival in 2023 with the book “La bambina di Odessa” (Ed. Chiarelettere 2022).
