Magistrate and essayist

He was born in Gerace, Calabria, in 1958. His career in the judiciary began very early, he was Deputy General Prosecutor of the Republic at the Court of Reggio Calabria, he has been under escort since 1989. He is one of the magistrates most involved in the fight against the ‘Ndrangheta, holder of important investigations including that on the Duisburg massacre. Since 2016 he is Prosecutor of the Republic of Catanzaro. Among his books written together with Antonio Nicaso are “La malapianta” (2010), “La giustizia è una cosa seria” (2011), “Oro bianco” (2015), Fiumi d’oro (2017), “Storia segreta della ‘ndrangheta” (2018), “La rete degli invisibili” (2019), “Non chiamateli eroi. Falcone, Borsellino e altre storie di lotta alle mafie” (2021) and “Fuori dai confini. La ‘ndrangheta nel mondo” (2022). He was a guest of the Liberevento Cultural Festival 2022 with his book “Complici e Colpevoli: Come il nord ha aperto le porte alla ‘ndrangheta” (Ed. Mondadori).
