Italian magistrate former judge in the VII criminal section of the Court of Milan (1975-78), between 1978 and 1989 he was investigating judge; in the years in which with his colleague G. Turone he shed light on the murder of G. Ambrosoli and started the investigation on the P2 lodge. A key figure in the fight against organized crime, Colombo was a consultant for the parliamentary commissions of inquiry on terrorism and the mafia and as a prosecutor he was the protagonist of the “Clean Hands” investigation; he was prosecutor at the Milan prosecutor’s office conducting, among others, the Imi-Sir, Lodo Mondadori and SME trials, he became a judge in the Court of Cassation. In 2007 he left the profession and since then he has worked hard to spread the concepts of legality and justice especially in schools and has assumed the presidency of the Garzanti Libri publishing house. Among his publications: “Lettera a un figlio su Mani Pulite” (2015), La sola colpa di essere nati (with L. Segre, 2021). He was a guest of the Liberevento Cultural Festival in 2022 with the book “Una vita vale tutto” (Ed. Garzanti).
