A ghost story starring Dante Alighieri today. For six hundred and ninety-nine years, for one night only, the Eternal Father has made him come down from Paradise to Florence to pay for his excessive love for poetry and earthly beauty. Nestled at the foot of “his of him” Baptistery, he watches the spectacle of the women passing by and resumes the project of cataloging the most beautiful sixty. On the eighteenth night Grace, a young foreign student, for the first time gives him the impression of sensing her presence. So, he follows her in a hilarious sequence of encounters and tells her, as if she could hear him, of her love for Beatrice and her secret experience of Fedele d’Amore. He then invites her to go on a love journey together on the magical vessel sent by the wizard Merlin. After Grace kisses the poet’s portrait, everything changes.
