The Liberevento Cultural Festival, was born in 2012 from the partnership between the Municipality of Calasetta and the artistic directors Claudio Moica and Fabio Furia, thanks to the collaboration of the Contramilonga association of Iglesias, part of the National Association “Presidi del libro”, as well as referent of the Book Presidium from Iglesias.
Initially limited to the Municipality of Calasetta, the festival over the years has spread over the whole regional territory, marking some stages also in the peninsula.
Since its first edition it represents a stimulating homage to literature and culture, divided into several events in which the authors, chosen from among the best-known writers of the national literary and journalistic panorama, are invited to present their works and to dialogue on the topics deal, in a true “face to face” with the public, while the background is an exhibition of books.
At the center, therefore, the love for reading, which is accompanied, from time to time, collateral events related to other cultural sectors, such as music, art, theater, dance, cinema etc.
