Matteo Saudino alias BarbaSophia
Teacher, youtuber and writer
He has been teaching Philosophy and History in Turin high schools for twenty years and is the creator of the popular YouTube channel “BarbaSophia”, which has over 310,000 subscribers and 45 million views. Author of manuals on civic education, history and philosophy, he has published the poetry collection Fragile Mutants (2012) and is co-author with Chiara Foà of Il Prof fannullone (2017), Cambiamo la scuola (2021) and Scuolitudine (2022). He has published with Salani Sofia Express (2023) and for Vallardi La filosofia non è una barba (2020) and Ribellarsi con filosofia (2022), from which the play Vite Ribelli (2024) is based. He is the author of the podcast Pensiero Stupendo (2023-24) and co-author of the school textbook Prima filosofare (2024). He was a guest of the Liberevento Cultural Festival in 2024 with “Star wars e la filosofia” (Ed. Vallardi).
