Zaira Zingone

Singer and author

Zaira Zingone, singer, teacher and performer, was born in Sassari in 1975. She graduated with honors from the I.U.S.M. in Rome in 2000, also becoming a Physical Education Teacher. In the years between 1998 and 2000 she began the self-taught study of pop singing, and then came to jazz. She starts from the Alghero jazz laboratory, curated by Mariano Tedde and Giovanni Agostino Frassetto, and then move on to the summer and winter seminars directed by Paolo Fresu, “Nuoro Jazz”. In April 2013 her first album is released, in collaboration with M ° Graziano Solinas, of original songs and texts by the duo, entitled “Legàmi”, recorded with Lorenzo Sabattini, Massimo Russino, Paoletto Sechi, Antonio Pitzoi, Nico Casu, Gian Piero Carta and Carlo Doneddu. She is also Artistic Director of the Festival “Espero ‘Festival” in Alghero, since 2012 and President of the Cultural Association “Ryunyo and La Valigia della Felicità” since 2011. She was a guest of the Liberevento Cultural Festival in 2020 with the book “Andai nei boschi” (Catartica Ed.).
