Journalist, TV presenter and writer

After graduating in Law from La Sapienza University in Rome, he became a professional journalist. He began collaborating with the newspaper Il Globo for which he dealt with economics, politics and culture and made his debut on television in 1979 presenting a special dedicated to the Basilicata Literary Prize for Rai. In the following years he alternated his commitments with the television station with those with press agencies such as Ansa and Radiocor. She officially joined Rai in 1987, the year in which she became the presenter of Tg2 at 1 p.m., remaining in the position for more than a decade. For the news Carmen Lasorella also works as a correspondent specializing in reportage in territories affected by wars thanks to which during the 90s she receives several prestigious awards including a Premiolino and a National Alghero Woman Award for Literature and Journalism. In 1994 he hosted Tg2 Dossier Notte while the following year he was at the helm of the Cliché program. In 1996 he accepted the positions of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Head of External Relations of Rai.
In this period she also began to work as a television author for programs of the 1st and 2nd channels such as PrimaDonna, which she hosts herself, Politistroika, Rinascimento, La fabbrica del futuro, Per l’Europa e I laghi del sangue. Between 1999 and 2003 he was responsible and correspondent of the Rai office in Berlin and dealt with news concerning European countries in that geographical area. From this experience he drew the material to write his first book which came out in 2002 and was entitled Journey to 5 Eastern Capitals.
In 2003 Carmen Lasorella hosts the daily program “Visite a domicilio”, which she conceived and wrote. In 2008 the journalist accepted a new prestigious administrative position when she became general manager of San Marino RTV. In the same year he published the book “Verde e Zafferano. A voce alta per la Birmania”. She was a guest of the Liberevento Cultural Festival in 2024 with “Vera. E gli schiavi del terzo millennio” (Ed. Marietti).
