The Fast Animals and Slow Kids – FASK project was born in Perugia in 2008, from the friendship of four musicians: Aimone Romizi, Alessandro Guercini, Alessio Mingoli and Jacopo Gigliotti. The name Fast Animals and Slow Kids was inspired by a gag from Family Guy, and the band began writing songs in English. In 2010 they opened the concerts of bands such as Zen Circus, Il Teatro degli Orrori, Futureheads and I Ministri, and in the summer they participated and won the contest of “Italia Wave Love Festival” as the best emerging Italian group. In February 2011 they recorded their first album “Cavalli”, produced by Andrea Appino and published by the label Iceforeveryone, owned by Zen Circus. The group begins to get noticed within the independent Italian musical environment, participating in several reviews in the sector. In October 2012 he began recording their second album Hỳbris (pronounced “Iubris”). In December 2013 the single “A cosa ci serve” won the Rockit Trophy as the best Italian song according to the readers of the site, also considered the song of the year. The third album, “Alaska”, produced under the Woodworm label, was officially released on October 3, 2014, preceded by the singles launched on the web “Il Mare Davanti” and “Come react al presente”. After the official release, within a few hours Alaska is the best-selling “alternative” album on Itunes in Italy. The Alaska Tour began at the end of 2014 and recorded several sold-out dates, it was completed in early 2016. They were guests of the Festival Liberevento in 2022 with their graphic novel “Fast Animals and Slow Kids. Come reagire al presente” (Ed. Becco Giallo).
