Indicated by the “Contramilonga” Association, the LiberEvento Cultural Festival and the Rombi heirs with the patronage of the Municipality of Calasetta.
Art. 1 – The international literary prize called ‘A vuxe de Cadesédda. In memory of Bruno Rombi’, is aimed at writers and poets of all nationalities.
Art. 2 – The prize is divided into three sections:
Poetry and short stories in ITALIAN LANGUAGE;
Poetry and short stories in TABARCHINE LANGUAGE;
Poetry and published stories.
Art. 3 – The prize is dedicated exclusively to adults.
Art. 4 – The theme is free for all sections.
Art. 5 – Each author may participate by submitting up to a maximum of two lyrics for the poetry section and four A4 folders for the short story section exclusively in Word format. The font ‘Garamond’ with font 14 must be used.
Art. 6 – Participants for the unpublished works category must send the application form attached to these regulations to the competition secretariat, signing a declaration that the works are unpublished and that they are the property of the authors to the following e-mail address: premiobrunorombi@gmail.com
The work must be enclosed in the e-mail in duplicate: one with the personal details of the participant (name, surname, address, telephone number and e-mail) and the other only the work in anonymous form. Each author is responsible for the content of their work.
For published works, three books must be sent to the secretariat at the following address: Premio Bruno Rombi c/o Claudio Moica Via Grazia Deledda n. 1 – 09010 San Giovanni Suergiu (SU).
Art. 7 – Works will not be returned. The secretariat reserves the right to publish the best entries.
Art. 8 – Participants must sign a waiver authorising the ‘Contramilonga’ Association to publish their unpublished works in an anthology or other form and media. Any form of remuneration for the published works is excluded. All proceeds from the sale of the anthology will be reinvested in activities related to the prize.
Art. 9 – Entries must be sent to the secretariat in the form provided for in Article 6 of this regulations, no later than 19 May 2024 (unless otherwise stipulated by the secretariat).
Art. 10 –
The date for the announcement of the winners is set for the first ten days of August 2024 in the municipality of Calasetta (SU) during the 13th edition of the “LiberEvento” Cultural Festival.
The secretariat is required to inform the participants of the outcome and the venue where the award ceremony will take place.
Art. 11 – The works will be judged at the sole and irrevocable discretion of the jury. The names of the jury will be announced on the day of the award ceremony.
Art. 12 – Money prizes will be awarded to the first classified in each section. The second and third place winners will be presented with a parchment and their work read during the award ceremony.
Poetry and short stories in Italian language:
First prize poetry: 150 €
First prize short stories: 150 €
Poetry and short stories in Tabarchina Language:
First prize poetry: 150 €
First prize short stories: 150 €
Edited Works:
First prize for poetry in Tabarchina language: 100 €
First prize fot short stories in Tabarchina language: 100 €
First prize for poetry in Italian language: 100 €
First prize for short stories in Italian language: 100 €
Only the top three finishers in each section will be notified of the outcome of the competition and must confirm their attendance to collect their prize. Those who do not show up or do not confirm their attendance will automatically forfeit both the prize money and the parchment, and the organisation reserves the right to downgrade the ranking to award the prize in any case.
A certificate of participation will be sent to all participants by e-mail in the months following the awarding date. The final classification of the first three prize-winners per section will be made public, after the award date, on the festival website.
Art. 13 – All those who have renounced the prize in previous editions will not be able to participate in the competition.
Art. 14 – Out of the competition, the category Affirmed Authors will participate by personal invitation. The works of established authors will be read by an actor on the day of the award ceremony.
Art. 15 – Information pursuant to Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679 on the Protection of Personal Data. The processing of data, the confidentiality of which we guarantee, is carried out exclusively for the purposes inherent to the competition in which you are taking part. Participants’ data will not be communicated or disclosed to third parties for any reason whatsoever and they may request their deletion or modification free of charge by writing to the association (contramilonga@gmail.com – contramilonga@pec.it).
Art. 16 – Any official notifications or changes to the provisions of these regulations will be communicated directly to participants at least one week in advance.
